Schemas

Two record formats Xyntherium publishes, so other software can read and check them without our code. Both are JSON Schema (draft-07). Version 0: fields may be added; a change that would break a reader gets a new version.

Dependency link, v0

/schemas/dependency-link.v0.json

A saved answer’s dependency on one fact in one version of a source document. Xyntherium Help Center Check uses these links to know which answers a policy change can affect, and lists them in each workspace’s export. A confirmed link was confirmed by code: the answer and the source state the same normalized fact about the same thing, or the source defines a term the answer uses. A model’s suggestion that code could not confirm is kept as unconfirmed and never raises an alert.

answer_id

The saved answer that depends on the fact.

source_id, version_id

The source document, and the version the fact was read from.

fact_key

The normalized fact: for example duration:s:2592000 (30 days) or term:business day.

link_type

numeric, duration_anchor (a duration and where it starts), defined_term, condition, entity, or approved (linked by the owner).

method, status

How the link was made (normalized_fact, defined_term, approved, model_suggested) and whether code confirmed it.

span

Where the fact is in the source version, with a SHA-256 of the exact text, so a reader can check it against their own copy.

answer_span, checked_at

Where the fact is in the answer, and when the link was last confirmed.

Receipt, v0

/schemas/receipt.v0.json

One entry of an evidence ledger: what was checked and with what result, hash-chained to the entry before it. GET /v1/ledger/{id} returns this shape (Verify API).

A receipt proves the record was not altered after it was written. It does not prove the answer was right: verdicts describe the documents that were supplied, not the world.

payload

What was checked and the result, as recorded: verdicts, rules and model versions, hashes of the inputs. No source text.

payload_hash

SHA-256 of the canonical JSON of the payload.

prev_hash, entry_hash, seq

The chain: entry_hash = sha256((prev_hash or “GENESIS”) + “|” + payload_hash + “|” + seq + “|” + request_id).

verification

The checks Xyntherium recomputed when it served the receipt. Recompute them yourself from the fields above.

meaning

The fixed sentence above, so a receipt never travels without it.
